We spoke with Stephen to hear his thoughts on his experience with Lets Recruit. In January 2025, he joined Hello Mortgage as a Mortgage Executive, working alongside Nicola Henton, our Mortgage Protection Adviser.

What’s your background?

I have a very colourful job history, having worked across three different industries — the automotive industry, healthcare, and the financial sector. I feel that my most recent roles, both here and at my previous company, are exactly what I’ve been looking for.

How did you hear about us?

I reached out to Sam Bailey on LinkedIn after seeing the role advertised.

What role did Lets Recruit help you find?

I am a Mortgage Executive at Hello Mortgage, thanks to Lets Recruit.

How did our recruitment services meet your expectations?

As I had never used a recruitment agency before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, the experience definitely exceeded my idea of what a recruitment service could do for candidates.

What were the three most valuable aspects of Lets Recruit for you?

Having a ‘middleman’ to communicate with the hiring manager and properly explain my situation was definitely the most valuable aspect of the process for me.
The fast responses made me feel well-informed about the progress of my application throughout the whole process.
